Second Presbyterian Church is a Christ-centered church in the heart of Memphis on a mission to Retell The Gospel, Reimagine The Church and City, and Repair What Is Broken.
It was founded in 1844 and is part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) denomination with an approximate membership of 3,800. The church’s culture is vibrant and progressive, with a high priority placed on growing and maturing in our faith and in becoming more focused on serving the needs in the community and world around us. We are passionate about loving our neighbors with whom we share our city. It’s a privilege…and a big responsibility.
2PC has traditional morning worship services on Sunday mornings and an informal family service on Sunday evenings. Learn more here.
“Memphis is a special program because of the combination of the benefit of host families and all the fellows going to one church. I knew not only my own host family but also other host families. It is nice to feel known and loved by people at your church. Your network of people who know and love you is wide and deep. This may be unique to Memphis, but there is something really sweet about our church family that can’t be replicated anywhere else.” -Emma Forrest, Class of 2020
